Our class teacher is Mr Wiseman and he is supported by Miss Dobbs and Mr Cassidy. At Grove House Infant School, we base all our learning around our 5 Learning Powers which aim at making us all well-accomplished learners. These are:

In Year 2 we focus on 6 topic questions throughout the year which we base all our English and Topic learning around. Our topic questions this year are:
Mobile Planetarium
On January 10th 2025, Year 2 got to experience star gazing up close with a visit from a local Planetarium. During the visit, the children learnt lots about the different planets in our Solar System and the many star constellations out in space. We also learned about the first moon landing and got to ask lots of questions to widen our knowledge of space!
Louis said, “I really enjoyed the Planetarium, I think Jupiter is my favourite planet because it’s so big and it’s made of gas.”
Alice said, “The planetarium was brilliant! We got to look at all the planets in the Solar System and I learnt so many facts.”
Toy Like Me Visit
Year 2 were very excited to be visited by our friends from #toylikeme. During the afternoon, we listened to stories, learned some sign language and even got to visit a toy audiologist so our teddy’s hearing could be tested!
“We had lots of fun and learnt so much about how we can be more deaf aware!”
Riley said “I really liked listening to the story with my teddy.”
Teddy said “I really enjoyed decorating my teddy’s hearing aids using gems and jewels!”
